In "Pups In a Fog", Zuma asked who wanted the last pup treat and Marshall immeadiately shouted, "I do I do I do!" and took off running to Zuma.
Later when the pups were in the lookout, the pups were told that the lighthouse light was out and a ship was heading towards the lighthouse. Zuma then tells only Marshall that ships really need light in the fog.
In "Pups Fight Fire", Marshall was competing in the fastest fire pup competition and Zuma was cheering him on saying, "Yay Marshall!" and then celebrated at the end when Marshall won the best fire pup award.
In "Pups and the Ghost Pirate", Marshall and Zuma were first responders for the first time.
When they arrived on the ship that was assumed to be controlled by a ghost, Marshall and Zuma were very nervous. Zuma told Marshall that the ghost couldn't steer right. Next when Ryder went to check who was controlling the steering wheel, Marshall and Zuma were still with the others trying to pretend they weren't needed to avoid the ghost and Ryder said, "Marshall? Zuma?" Zuma then told Marshall nervously that Ryder meant them too. Next they both ran to Ryder and then jumped on his shoulders and they discover that it was Chickaletta steering the wheel.
The next problem was that there was a loud and scary noise behind some barrels and Ryder wanted to go over there and see who it was, but Zuma and Marshall again ran to Ryder and pulled him back warning him to not go over there but Ryder told them that he was kidding about the ghosts so when he tried to keep walking, Zuma and Marshall continued to prevent him from moving and Ryder told them that it will be okay. Ryder discovered that it was Wally the walrus that was making the scary noise when he was sleeping.
After everything was solved, Ryder suggested they all go back to finish partying for the rest of Halloween and Zuma and Marshall excitedly jumped up and down.
In "Pups Save Christmas", Marshall and Zuma were in charge of delivering the presents all over Adventure Bay.
In "Pup-Tacular", Rocky yelled at Marshall that his water cannon was out and that he didn't want to get wet, so Marshall tried to put it away but accidentally started spraying water. Rocky got out of the way in time but unfortunately it got Zuma and Zuma fell back. Marshall apologized to Zuma but Zuma said in a happy way that it was the second bath he had today.
In "Pups Save the Bay", Marshall and Zuma were first responders with Ryder to help a whale out and clean it up after an oil spill happened.
In "Pups Save Alex", the PAW Patrol was needed to the Lookout and Zuma was so tired. Also Marshall said he's going to try really hard to not crash into the pups in the elevator by letting all the pups go first. While he lets all the pups go by him, he sees a very sleepy Zuma walk by him and smiles at him the whole time.
In "Pups Save a Pool Day", Marshall was bouncing his way into the elevator on his floatie for a pool. When he crashed into the pups, the pups gave him scores on how well Marshall landed. Most of the pups gave him very low scores between 2.5/10 and 4/10, but Zuma gave Marshall a 9.9/10 which means Zuma thought Marshall landed perfectly.
In "Circus Pup-Formers", Marshall was the magnificent clown but unfortunately he lost control and crashed and Zuma told him that nobody does a clown fall like him.
In "Pups Save Ryder's Robot", Zuma inspired Marshall to challenge Robo-Dog in a race.
In "Pups Save a Toof", Marshall and Zuma teamed up against each other with Chase and Rubble to play tug of war.
In "Pups Save a Camping Trip", Marshall and Zuma seemed to be the most excited to stay in the woods for one night and camp there. Then when Mayor Goodway said there wasn't enough tents, Marshall and Zuma both bark and said "house" which made their hovercraft and fire truck change back into their pup houses.
In "Pups and the Lighthouse Boogie", after Skye was defeated by Zuma in pup pup boogie, Marshall was up to go against Zuma. They said competitive words to each other like when Marshall said, "You can't touch this." and Zuma said, "Watch and learn dude, I totally got this." Eventually Marshall stepped on one of Rocky's tennis balls and lost control and crashed into Zuma which ended up with Marshall laying on top of Zuma. Marshall then said they were having a ball which made Zuma laugh. Zuma won again though. While Marshall was out of the competition, it was just Chase and Zuma and Marshall was cheering for Zuma to win.
In "Pups Great Race", Marshall fantasized himself winning the race and pretended there was fans cheering for him, then Zuma was standing near by and walked to him saying that he was going to win the race which is why his name is Zuma after all in terms of zoom. Even when they were at the Lookout with Ryder, Ryder said may the fastest pup win, and Marshall declared himself as the fastest pup, but then Zuma also declared himself as the fastest pup.
Later in the episode when the race started, Zuma and Marshall were very competitive towards each other at the beginning swapping the lead for a little bit.
In "Pups and the Pirate Treasure", after the pups were called to the lookout, Zuma used the launcher to shoot one last shot of the basketball into the hoop and it missed and landed on Marshall's face instead which caused Marshall to fall back on a launcher, then get sent flying towards the lookout and into the elevator way ahead of the other pups.
Season 2[]
In "Pups Save a Dolphin Pup", at the beginning of the episode, Marshall and Zuma were racing each other to an inflatable dolphin that was flying away. Marshall grabbed it first but then tripped and fell onto a chair. That made Zuma laugh and joked that the dolphin got Marshall. Cap'n Turbot was also watching Zuma and Marshall play with the blow up toy through his binoculars.
A little bit later, when Ryder calls the pups to the lookout, Marshall was chasing Zuma with the inflatable dolphin until Marshall tripped and fell on Zuma.
In "Pups Save the Parade", Marshall was floating away on a floating bathtub and when he approached a giant Zuma balloon, he said "Wooaah! A giant Zuma mouth?" Marshall looked at Zuma's balloon for a moment until he flew into his own balloon.
In "Pups Save the Diving Bell", the pups were playing volley ball and Marshall was heading towards the ball and said "I got it, I got it!" Then Zuma jumped in front of him and says, "Actually, I got it", and head butted the ball away. Zuma said to Marshall, "Sorry dude" which made Marshall mad because he wanted to hit the ball.
In "Pups Save a Ghost", Marshall was "sleep surfboarding" into the ocean and before Ryder called Zuma to save Marshall, Zuma was already on his way down there just in case Marshall needed help.
When Marshall was standing on two paws on the surfboard while still sleeping, Zuma was impressed and thought those were nice moves.
When Marshall ended up "sleep surfboarding" onto a whale, he was lifted up and taken away and Zuma became worried and went after to Marshall to save him.
Eventually a flying seagull woke Marshall up and when he realized where he was, he panicked and was also thrown off the whale and ended up surfboarding uncontrollably in the water again. Zuma said, "Hang on dude!" and used his body to catch Marshall in which he successfully did. Zuma then said, "Don't worry Marshall, you're safe, sound, and awake." Marshall who is still confused about how he ended up where he was, thanked Zuma and was brought back to dry land.
In "Pups Jungle Trouble", when the pups were heading to the Paw Patroller, Marshall had a giant flower stuck on his face and when he eventually got free from it, Zuma was telling Marshall to come on because he was late.
In "Pups Save a Basketball Game", Zuma and Rocky were injured from one of Mayor Humdinger's players and Marshall needed to aid both pups. After Marshall was done with Rocky, he walked over to Zuma who had an impatient look on his face because Marshall spent a lot of time fixing Rocky up with a cast that made Rocky happy and feel better. But with Zuma, Marshall put a cone on him and said that he was going to put some ice on Zuma's tail to keep the swelling down. Zuma looked disappointed and said, "Thanks... I guess."
In "Pups Save a Talent Show", when Marshall crashed into the elevator with the main drum, he popped his head out and Zuma played a rimshot on him by flopping Marshall's ear with his paw.
In "Pups Leave Marshall Home Alone", when Marshall was helping Katie with the lost kittens, one of them was seen floating away on a surfboard in the water and Marshall put on Zuma's pup pack and jumped in the water to save the kitty and bring her back to dry land.
In "Pups Save the Deer", Rubble dropped a ton of snow onto Marshall but Rubble nor any of the pups noticed. After a while, Zuma was the first to notice that Marshall was no where to be seen and wondered where he was. Marshall then popped out of the pile of snow and said, "Here I am!"
In "Pups Save an Elephant Family", near the end of the episode, Marshall and Zuma felt the ground rumble and they looked behind them and saw two elephants running fast towards them and they shouted, "Elephant Quake!" and they got out of the way.
In "Pups and the Mischievous Kittens", after help from Chase and Rocky, Marshall was spinning out of control towards the elevator and hitting everything like he was a ball in a pinball machine, then when he crashed into the elevator, he scored 508,003 points and Zuma said to him, "You made it and got the high score! You're a pinball wizard, dude."
In "Pups Save a Friend", Zuma invited Marshall to play volleyball with the pups but Marshall didn't know if he wanted to or not.
Later after the pups watched Apollo the Super Pup, Marshall was gone and when Zuma discovered that the volleyball was flat (due to Marshall driving over it) he suggested they look for him.
When the pups were in the lookout, Zuma learned that Marshall thought the pups didn't want him around anymore and Zuma mentions that he loves Marshall's water cannons on a hot day.
Later on, Zuma was in the ocean with his Hovercraft looking for Marshall and asked Wally if he had seen Marshall. After no luck, Zuma told Ryder that he couldn't find Marshall. Then when a big storm was moving in, that made Zuma worried.
In "Pups Save a Sniffle", while in the lookout, Zuma was about to say his catchphrase and he ended up sneezing. Marshall checked on his temperature and came to an conclusion that Zuma had a cold. Zuma then said, "If i'm ill, I better chill."
In "Pup-Fu!", all of the pups but Marshall was awarded a yellow belt and when Marshall saw Zuma celebrating and happy, Marshall was whimpering and sad. But then Marshall was also awarded a yellow belt and everything was just fine after that.
In "Pups Save the Pop-Up Penguins", the episode started off with Zuma in his hovercraft helping Marshall do his kite-surfing. When Zuma saw Marshall flipping and flying everywhere, Zuma was impressed and told Marshall that he had some awesome kite surfing skills.
In "Pups Save a Chicken of the Sea". Zuma and Marshall teamed up against Chase and Rubble in another game of tug of war.
In "Pups Bark with Dinosaurs", the pups were pretending to be dinosaurs and Marshall stood on Zuma's back pretending to be tyrannosaurus pups, then they lost balance and crashed.
Later when the pups were heading to the lookout, Marshall was on top of Zuma again but he was covering Zuma eyes which caused Zuma to not see. Zuma was losing his balance with Marshall on top of him still and they both crashed into the elevator. Marshall was still on top of Zuma doing a hula dance which made the pups laugh and he continued doing that as the elevator went up.
Season 3[]
In "Pups Save a Tightrope Walker", Marshall made it seem like he was balancing on a rope high in the air blindfolded, but then when it zooms out, he was just on a board close to the ground and Zuma said, "Excellent tightrope-- er, plank-walking." Marshall then thanked Zuma and said next time he would try it higher than his nose which made Zuma laugh. Then a little bit later, Marshall talked about that he bet Francois wouldn't do this on the tight rope, but Marshall fell on the ground and Zuma laughed again and said Marshall's name.
In "Pups Save a Goldrush", Zuma was pulling on a rope very hard from a bush and couldn't find out why the bush was pulling so hard, then Marshall came and said he loved toy tug and he wanted to help. Then they both pulled on the rope really hard.
In "Pups Save a Lucky Collar", Zuma saved Marshall from falling into a river and getting swept away and Marshall also caught Little Hootie from falling in the water and was relieved. Zuma then complimented Marshall on his nice catch and said it must of been his lucky collar again, but then Marshall finally realized that it wasn't the lucky collar and it was that he had such great friends.
In "Air Pups", after Marshall had a hard landing and fell on Chase, Zuma said, "Well, it was almost a perfect landing" and everyone laughed.
Later when Marshall kept hitting all the pups in the air like a pinball. Marshall then said that he was still the pinball wizard which was a reference to "Pups and the Mischevious Kittens" in season 2 when Zuma called Marshall a pinball wizard.
In "Pups Save Friendship Day", Zuma didn't like licking the stamps to seal the envelopes, so during the friendship song, Zuma held another stamp on his paw and Marshall licked it instead.
In "Pups Save a Stinky Flower", Marshall and Zuma were playing their favorite game tug of war and the smell of a very stinky flower came blowing by and they were both disgusted by the smell. Zuma tried to blow the smell away with his paw and Marshall stuck his head in the grass.
In "Pups Save the Songbirds", Zuma was helping Marshall plant some flowers in the dirt for them to grow.
In "Pups Save a Film Festival", the episode started off with the pups rehearsing for their film and Marshall and Zuma were in a dragon costume together with Zuma as the front half and Marshall as the back half. When they do take 2, Zuma's tail was tickling Marshall's nose and it caused Marshall to sneeze and fly backwards.
In "Pups Bear-ly Save Danny", Marshall tells Zuma that he is lucky that Ryder didn't choose as he was afraid of bears.
In "Pups Save Sports Day", the pups were called to the lookout and Marshall realized that Zuma forgot his frisbee, so he grabbed it but then crashed into the elevator. After Marshall crashed into the pups, he gave the frisbee to Zuma.
In "Pups Get Growing", Marshall crashed into the elevator with a brussels sprout on his head and it made Zuma laugh and then say, "Nice hat, Marshall, but you're supposed to eat your brussels sprouts, not wear them."
In "Pups Save a Space Toy", Marshall was falling out of the sky and after Chase saved him, everyone complimented Chase, but only Zuma complimented Marshall by saying, "Marshall, that was awesome!"
In "Parroting Pups", Marshall used his water cannon to make him water to drink since he was feeling hot. Later when Marshall helped Zuma with a board, Matea the parrot squaked and said "Water!" and Marshall's water cannon came back out and ended up spraying Zuma. Zuma thanked Marshall and said that it totally cooled him off.
In "Mer-Pups Save the Turbots", Zuma was on a mission with Ryder to find Marshall who was lost. When Zuma found him under water with the Mer-Pups, he discovered that Marshall was also a Mer-Pup and Zuma told him how nice his fish tail was and Marshall thanked him.
In "Pups Save the Crows", Marshall and Zuma were playing "tug-a-pup" and admitted they really love that game. The pup they were tugging was Rocky.
A little bit later, when Ryder called the pups to the lookout, Marshall (still tugging on Rocky) reminded Zuma that they had to go, but then he realized that Zuma was gone and that he was just pulling on Rocky's hat that the crows were trying to take away.
Season 4[]
In "Pups Save the Critters", Marshall and Zuma used their dragon costume again to try and lure an Alligator out of a pool. They were busting out dance moves and when the Alligator finally came out of the pool, Marshall and Zuma ran away from it to lure it to the trailer where it originally was.
At the end of the episode, Marshall and Zuma, along with Rocky played leap frog.
In "Pups Save a Sleepover", Zuma and Marshall looked sad with Ryder when Farmer Al's barn animals looked home sick.
In, "Pups Save the Carnival", Zuma was really bad at aiming in this episode, but when the pups were heading to the elevator, Marshall landed on the launcher just as Zuma was about to try again with launching the toy lizard, but he instead ended up launching Marshall into the elevator straight into the pups. Marshall then told Zuma that his aim was getting better.
In "Pups Save Sensei Yumi", Chase crashed into the elevator with the pups and Zuma said, "It's like Marshall isn't even gone." Marshall was with Sensei Yumi.
In "Pups Save Tiny Marshall", Marshall gets stuck after catching the ball and Zuma offered to get Marshall unstuck by leaning on Marshall and them pushing him out with his body.
Later in the episode when Marshall was dreaming, he was shrunken by a shrink ray and when the pups couldn't find him anywhere, Zuma used his pup tag to call Marshall asking him where he went, but no answer.
Later after that, when Ryder, Chase, and Rubble came back up in the elevator, Zuma asked Ryder if Marshall was found yet.
In "Pups Save the Shivering Sheep", Marshall and Zuma, along with Rocky came back to Katie with a bunch of cleaned clothes they washed.
In "Pups Save Luke Stars", when Marshall was about to crash into the elevator with the pups and a mic, Zuma sings "Look Out" in a D4 Major.
In "Pups Save Baby Hundinger", the pups were playing pup pup goose. Zuma was up and he went around the other pups tapping on them while saying "pup". Then Zuma pushed on Marshall while saying "goose" and Marshall chased Zuma.
In "Sea Patrol: Pups Save Puplantis", Marshall was saying hi to the Mer-Pups and accidentally fell into the water. When Zuma saw Marshall fall into the water, Zuma thought it was a good idea and he dove in the water as well.
Season 5[]
In "Pups Save the Bookmobile", Ryder was in trouble when he was driving a bookmobile down a hill with no brakes towards train tracks with an upcoming train. Ryder told Marshall and Zuma at the lookout that he wasn't sure if he could stop in time, then Zuma and Marshall told Ryder to do what Heidi Hopper did which is if he couldn't stop, hop. This was the only time that Zuma and Marshall, also being the only pups, gave Ryder advice.
In "Pups Save Heady Humdinger", after the pups were playing "pup-jenga", they had to head to the elevator for a mission and Marshall as usual crashed into the pups. After the pups were all stacked on top of each other, Marshall offered to get them down, so he chose Zuma to loosen them up by using his head to push Zuma out of the stack of pups, then that's when they all came crashing down and Marshall said, "Oops, picked the wrong pup!"
In "Sea Patrol: Pups Save Their Pirated Sea Patroller", Zuma and Marshall were on lifeguard duty.
In "Ultimate Rescue: Pups Save the Royal Kitties", Zuma and Marshall teamed up together a few times to get the engineer off of the train controlled by Mayor Humdinger. Zuma and Marshall said they were totally ready for an ultimate ruff ruff rescue and then they howled. After the engineer was saved, Marshall told Zuma to watch out because he was heading towards a cliff.
Later in the episode, the engineer was talking to Marshall and Zuma about what happened with him on the train when Mayor Humdinger took control of everything and threw him out. Then when Marshall discovered 6 kittens were also involved, he and Zuma agreed to call Chase about it.
In "Sea Patrol: Pups Save Tilly Turbot", Marshall asked Zuma if he could ride on the surfboard and try a trick and Zuma was fine with it and told him to just run, jump, and glide.
In "Rocky Saves Himself", Marshall and Zuma decided to make recycling fun so Marshall threw cans over to Zuma and Zuma caught them and slam dunked them into the recycle bin.
In "Pups Save Thanksgiving", Zuma taught Marshall how to play hot potato with a ball and eventually they had a round where they threw the ball back and forth to each other until Chase said hot potato. That's when Marshall lost and then bumped into a bowl of real hot potatoes.
In "Pups Save Ace's birthday Surprise", Zuma and Marshall set up all of the decorations for Ace's birthday party.
Season 6[]
In "Ultimate Rescue: Pups Stop a Meltdown", It was very hot in Adventure Bay and Zuma wanted to use a sprinkler to cool down all the pups, but Marshall told him that it wasn't a good idea because it was going to use a lot of water and that they should be careful how much water they use on hot days and Zuma agreed that wasting water is a bummer, so Marshall suggested that he use his water cannons instead.
In "Ultimate Rescue: Pups and the Mystery of the Missing Cell Phones", the pups were playing Marco Polo and Marshall was "Marco" and blindfolded. Out of all the pups Marshall heard say "Polo", he thought he heard just Zuma's voice so he ran over to Zuma's voice but ended up tripping over Skye as a result.
In "Ultimate Rescue: Pups Save the Mountain Climbers", Under Skye's directions, Marshall and Zuma had to save Mayor Goodway from almost falling off of a cliff in the mountains. Once Zuma used his buoy to throw towards Goodway, Marshall held onto Zuma to pull Goodway up to the helicopter.
In "Pups Save Chickaletta's Egg", when Marshall was crashing into the pups in the elevator, Marshall was able to balance on the pillow and Zuma said, "Whoa, way to balance dude!"
In "Mighty Pups Charged Up: Pups vs the Dome", Marshall and Zuma became charged up for the first time so Zuma could find an under path to the inside of a shield like dome covering Adventure Bay.
In "Pups Save a Tour Bus", Zuma and Marshall were cleaning up and polishing a brand new "Welcome to Adventure Bay" sign. Zuma was pretty much acting like a chair for Marshall to stand on and once Marshall finished with the sign, he thanked Zuma and also rubbed the top of his head with his paw in which Zuma seemed to like.
Season 7[]
In "Pups Save the Maze Explorers", Zuma and Marshall sat on the same side of the PAW Patroller which is extremely rare. While they were sitting together, Alex was drawing a picture of Marshall, and when Marshall was guessing which pup they was drawing, Zuma then mentions that it was him.
In "Pups Save a Waiter Bot", some of the pups were playing charades and when Zuma was up, he pretended he was surfing, but Marshall thought that he was standing on a big blob of grape jelly.
In "Pups Save a Kooky Climber", Marshall was balancing on a balance board and Zuma told him that he was really good at it and Marshall said thanks before falling off the board.
Season 8[]
In "Sea Patrol: Pups Save a Windsurfer", at the beginning of the episode, Zuma and Marshall were windsurfing in the ocean and Zuma taught Marshall how to do some tricks. As usual, Marshall ends up messing up with an attempted trick and ended up doing a unknown trick in which Zuma was amazed to see and complimented him on it.
In "Rescue Knights: Quest for the Dragons Tooth", After Marshall's clumsiness let Sparks the dragon and Claw get away, he felt really down because of it and blamed it on himself. Then Zuma walked up to him, leaned on him for a moment and tried to cheer him up saying they are all together and have to stand strong. It did cheer Marshall up.
In "Dancing with Luke Stars", Zuma was hyping Marshall up when he was making some dance moves saying "Go Marshall! Go Marshall!"
In "Pups Save the Hummy Gummies", When Rocky was cleaning out Zuma's pup house, a bunch of buoy's came flying out including one inflatable boat that was folded up. Marshall wondered what kind of buoy that was and when he pressed the button on it, Zuma warned him a little too late that it wasn't a buoy. Then it blew up into an inflatable boat which sent Marshall flying into the air and onto the boat. Marshall said he was good and all the pups laughed.

In "Mighty Pups", Zuma was fed up with Harold Humdinger messing up the town and suggested someone tell him to knock it off, but while he said that, he accidentally sprayed Marshall right in his face with his water jets which is much more powerful than Marshall's water cannon. Zuma apologized to Marshall saying, "Sorry! My Bad."

Misc Trivia
Zuma and Marshall have shown to be very worried when Ryder has to deal with ghosts.
Zuma at times seems to be impressed with Marshall's wipeouts.
Marshall is the only pup (except Rocky) to have rubbed Zuma's head with his paw.
Unlike Rocky and Rubble, Zuma actually loves getting sprayed by Marshall. One time Marshall sprayed Zuma by accident and Zuma thanked him because it cooled him off. Another time Zuma actually admitted that he loves Marshall's water cannons on a hot day.
Zuma is not always satisfied with Marshall fixing him up after an injury because he thinks Marshall takes it too far sometimes or takes a long time to finish,
Zuma is very impressed with Marshall's surfing moves especially when he is sleep-surfboarding.
Zuma taught Marshall how to air-glide and windsurf.

Zuma & Marshall received average views and responses from fans from the start, but it starting to become more popular. It's a very underrated friendship and doesn't get that much attention due to Marshall being more popular with Chase and Rocky being more popular with Marshall and Zuma.
